I started Jaydnbrok Horology in June of 2021 in Hagerstown, MD. Just one month before my 40th birthday. I’ve had a life long fascination with time pieces, an 18 year long itch for collecting any type of watch I could afford, and a 7 year long active roll in the service and repair of luxury Swiss and Japanese watch brands. I was self taught until studying under the apprenticeship of a 3rd generation watchmaker who has spent more their entire life engulfed in the watchmaking trade. Jaydnbrok Horology provides “freelance” watchmaker services to businesses and individuals alike. We work with jewelry stores, pawn brokers, independent and micro watch brands as well as other watch repair workshops providing assembly services, expert restorations, and warranty repairs for 18 brands and counting, such as Seiko, BOLDR, Tsao, McDowell Time, and Island Watch, just to name a few.

During the start of the COVID-19 pandemic I found a community of watch enthusiasts making stunning automatic watches from Seiko’s SKX007 dive watch and Seiko’s NH35/36 mechanical movements and what I saw being made from these base components blew me away and I immediately tracked down where to buy the parts I needed to try my hand at what was being called….Seiko Modding! I had already taught myself over the prior 5-6 years the intricacies of watch assembly and minor repair so I took to this new craft like a fish takes to water.

I loved it! And I decided that between my new hobby of Seiko modding and my professional training as a watchmaker that I would take the dive into business ownership and start to provide my experience and expertise to all who may need it, and most importantly, at a fair and reasonable price, with honesty and transparency at the forefront of all of my business dealings!
